Oracle E-Business Functional Consultant

Version 1 is looking to build a E-Business Suite team and have an opportunity now to build a centre of excellence in Belfast to replicate the success of our Managed Services Practice in Dublin. 


Major duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide day-to-day support and quality assurance for projects and tasks
  • Gather and document business requirements on IT projects
  • Document and manage business process flows charts
  • Provide hands-on functional & configuration support for applications in areas including Finance, Order management and HR
  • Assist in defining and optimizing simple yet effective business processes and drive change within the organization through consensus-building
  • Ensure ERP initiatives follow the proper planning, scheduling and management processes
  • Manage on-time project delivery and business expectations and ensure internal customer satisfaction
  • Provide hands on analysis, design, testing, implementation and post implementation support
  • Configure applications based on requirements submitted by business partners and best practices
  • Promote user adoption by preparing training documentation and conduct training sessions for business users
  • Build test cases & manage User Acceptance Tests
  • Assist with risk management and change management on projects
  • Create ad-hoc reports, queries and data extracts as requested

Experience

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 7 years' experience in a Functional Business Analyst role. You must have experience in the following:

  • Knowledge of Oracle R12 modules ideal
  • Strong business acumen and working knowledge of Financial processes in AP, AR, GL, FA, CM,HR, Projects OR Order Management in Supply chain, INV,BOM etc
  • Strong knowledge of project management fundamentals and experience running small to mid-size projects
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple concurrent projects is required
  • Experience in software development life-cycle processes and methodologies on multiple projects
  • IT-related Degree, MSc preferred
