Version 1 Announces BDO Simpson Xavier Founder

Version 1, the leading Irish IT Consulting and Outsourced Managed Services Company, has just announced the appointment of a new Chairman, Anthuan Xavier, Founder of BDO Simpson Xavier. This appointment comes on the back of strong performance figures and a number of deals closed in the past year giving rise to its gross profit increasing by 10 percent last year. It has now accumulated profits of €3 million.

Version 1, the leading Irish IT Consulting and Outsourced Managed Services Company, has just announced the appointment of a new Chairman, Anthuan Xavier, Founder of BDO Simpson Xavier. This appointment comes on the back of strong performance figures and a number of deals closed in the past year giving rise to its gross profit increasing by 10 percent last year. It has now accumulated profits of €3 million. Anthuan Xavier founded the accounting firm BDO Simpson Xavier in 1982 and was Managing Partner of that firm for over 20 years, growing the firm from two people to become one of the most successful Irish accounting firms ever. He retired from the firm in 2005. Anthuan grew his business through good times and bad, through three recessions and the Celtic Tiger.
In recent months, Version 1 has secured Managed Services deals with a combined three-year value of €1.5m. The deals are with such clients as Sustainable Energy Ireland, Quinn Healthcare, Focus Ireland, Teva Pharmaceuticals Ireland and Endesa Ireland, and include such components as managed hosting, 24X7 support coverage and a full IT outsourcing with TUPE of IT staff.
Version 1's Managing Director, Justin Keatinge explains, "Historically we always had a very strong public sector base. Over the past 18 months we have concentrated a lot on other sectors such as financial services, utilities, healthcare and education. We have replicated our success in the public sector in these areas through our strategy of offering V2B (value to business) to our clients." As well as strong growth in Managed Services, Version 1 has grown its business in specialist Oracle E-Business Suite consulting and development in Microsoft technologies, such as SharePoint and Dynamics CRM.
Version 1 has been privately funded since its inception. The company’s major shareholders are founders Justin Keatinge, John Mullen and company director Tom O'Connor.
