Under the Managed Services contract with Almac’s Clinical Services Business Unit, Version 1 will support and enhance the company’s global Financial and Clinical systems running on Oracle E-Business Suite® Release 12. Utilising a blend of remote and onsite service delivery, combined with excellent technical skills and best-practice processes, Version 1 was able to offer UK headquartered Almac Group a compelling and 'as-cost effective' alternative to off-shore support.

Andrew Hillis, Group Head of Information Services at Almac explains, "Almac Group has built a reputation for innovation, quality and customer service and these were the key attributes we looked for in selecting a Managed Services partner to entrust our core business systems. Version 1 has proven to be an innovative on-shore Managed Service provider, with a focus on operational improvement and delivering business value which has enabled the delivery of new services and competitive market advantage for our global organisation."

Commenting on the deal, Version 1 Director Tom O'Connor said, "Version 1 is delighted to announce this new deal which reflects our continued strong growth in the Life Sciences sector and the UK market. We look forward to building a strong partnership with Almac Group, delivering value-driven technology solutions and services to enable strategic growth in this highly competitive market and to continue to expand our Oracle Competency Centre in Belfast to service more international customers."
