Doosan:
E-Business Suite Consulting and Support
Challenge
Doosan Trading Ltd is a global organisation that has grown rapidly through both acquisitions and organic growth. In 2007, Doosan acquired the Bobcat business from Ingersoll Rand. The Oracle systems inherited from this acquisition were not optimised to Doosan's business processes. Doosan required specialist consulting and implementation expertise on Oracle E-Business Suite to tailor the installation to meet its evolving business needs.
Solution
Version 1 consultants engaged in initial discovery sessions with key business owners in Finance, Supply Chain, Order Management, Logistics and Planning in order to identify areas for improvement within the Oracle E-Business Suite deployment. These sessions revealed the need for a number of system enhancements: new and amended reports, invoice approval, workflow configuration, interfaces, pricing rules and Bill of Material sourcing rules, among others. The programme of enhancement covered both Finance and Supply Chain modules and was fully implemented with the support of Version 1 in 2008.
Benefit
"Our company Doosan Trading Ltd is a diverse, global organisation. As a company undergoing significant change we have partnered with Version 1 to provide us with specialist consulting and implementation services. We needed a partner that was both expert in key functional areas and also very flexible in meeting our evolving needs. Version 1 more than matched our requirements due to their ability to listen to our requirements and match their services and delivery model accordingly. We continue to develop our relationship with Version 1 and have been very satisfied with a range of services including Project Management, Oracle ERP Functional Support, Licensing, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Integration.
