Intranet and Self Service Portal
Challenge
The challenge was to develop a Web 2.0 Intranet and Self Service Portal (vitalO2) that would facilitate cross-functional working and collaboration and improve productivity by enabling employees to quickly find people, policies, procedures and forms as needed.
Solution
The solution leverages the out-of-the-box capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 where possible to deliver an easy-to-use solution which empowers users to create and edit their own content and communities based on common or shared content. This allows the internal communications team to delegate ownership of content to the business areas most associated with that content.

Benefit
"Our new Intranet provides a consistent communications channel for all Telefónica O2 employees and facilitates self-service for a range of HR functions.
