Job Description

People Success at Version 1 is driven by Group HR, Recruitment and Resourcing, Learning & Development and Organisational Development teams. You will be part of the Group HR team which is made up of 14 people spanning across Edinburgh and Dublin. This HR Consultant role can be based in Dublin or Edinburgh and will have a particular focus on general day to day business activities and will have exposure to other elements of Version 1 HR activities.

The work you will do will be varied, business-focused, impactful and self-driven. In return, you should be prepared to work in an environment that is continuously evolving and changing, with a full agenda of activities. You will have the ability to continuously prioritise and assess your workload. You will work closely with the rest of the team to create and enhance the moments that matter to our employees and ultimately ensure we continue to be a great place to work.  

Responsibilities:

  • Act as first point of contact for incoming HR queries, providing advice to employees on HR policies
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed and returned appropriately, including right to work visas/permits and relevant screening
  • Create and maintain new employee files, documents, etc
  • Maintain and update HR Systems as appropriate, ensuring the integrity of all HR data and compliance with GDPR regulations
  • Prepare for and attend internal and external ISO audits
  • Provide effective general HR administration including generation of reports, filing, and issuing of employee letters
  • Support HR Projects as required, facilitating the continuous improvement of the HR department

Qualifications
  • You will be enthusiastic and passionate about developing your HR career
  • A graduate from a HR related degree (Masters would be a benefit but not essential)
  • Be a strong communicator and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and driven to complete tasks and progress on time
  • Strong IT/Microsoft Office skills
  • A good work ethic with a positive can-do attitude and approach to work
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and equally as part of a team
  • Be able to multitask and take ownership for the quality and completion of your work to a very high standard with minimum supervision
