Microsoft Tech Lead

Job Description

You will be responsible for technical oversight of our solutions across different projects, which will typically involve the following:

  • Designing and implementing Microsoft technical solutions (E.g. .NET, SQL Server, BizTalk, XSLT)
  • Working with different teams to deliver a range of solutions and services across multiple sectors
  • Advising clients on a technical and non-technical basis
  • Applications development, test and deployment
  • Assist senior management in identification of team training needs
  • Analysis of requirements and production of specifications and reports
  • Documentation of solution (e.g. design, architecture, configurations, and setup etc.)
  • Responsible for the technical decisions affecting the team
  • Assurance that delivered solutions are sustainable and follow best practice
  • Mentor and manage junior team members

Examples of technologies the team support include: C# .Net Applications, ASP, VB6, SQL Server, Angular, SSIS, Biztalk, XSLT, powershell, SSRS

Qualifications

Essential: 

  • Hands-on experience with design and delivery of enterprise-level Microsoft Applications and integration solutions. Good mix of frontend and backend .NET development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with working with clients to ensure regulatory compliance in the delivery of solutions
  • Hands-on experience of managing/ leading a team
  • Experience working in a production environment essential
  • Experience of working in a team of technical resources and developing junior and other senior people on the team
  • BSc in I.T-related discipline required
  • Experience and strong understanding of the full SDLC 
  • Strong evidence of a quality-first approach
  • Strong Unit Testing experience. 
  • Version Control/Repository: Team Foundation Server or Git
  • Experience with AngularJS, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server and Entity Framework
  • Experience in working within a project management/agile delivery methodology
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively within a high-performance team
  • Have the ability to delegate work
  • Be able to coordinate across a number of teams
  • Experience in working in an ITIL/ISO20000 environment
 
Desirable: 
  • Familar/ experience with Azure 
  • ITIL Certification
  • Experience on projects across a variety of industry sectors
