Job Description

As a Solution Architect you will get to play a major part in shaping the future of the ever-expanding Java team and ensuring Version 1 is aligned with the latest industry standards. This demanding role will require a mix of Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture and a hands-on approach to development.

You will be responsible for devising the solutions for projects, estimating and subsequently mentoring a team in the implementation. This will require establishing strong working relationships with various stakeholders to ensure a successful delivery. One of the responsibilities of the senior architect is to use thought leadership to identify and drive improvements and innovations, both in terms of technology and processes.

Version 1 has a strong capabilities program which focuses on the careers of our team. As a senior Java architect, you will be expected to play a leading role in this capability and driving strategy.. Back End

  • AWS API Gateway 
  • Lambda functions (Java or Python), 
  • S3, Experience with webhooks 
  • Experience applying JavaScript Web Tokens


  • React app hosted in S3
  • Middleware (mostly serverless) 
  • Experienced SA who could advise on best practice for image upload
  • Encryption
  • Webhook
  • Tokenization

Front End

  • React
  • REST API experience
  • UI Design skills a bonus
  • Wordpress forms a bonus
