Job Description

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be part of two-week sprints and engage from the start of every project to completion in the Scrum team. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be writing the test automation code and executing the testing with other Senior and Test Engineers or Associate Test Engineers. 

In this role, you will be working on Automation as well as Manual testing, the progression from Manual test to Automation test whenever possible to add value to the project. Collaboration between the end client Test team and you will be vital to the success of every project.  

In this role, you'll be responsible for a wide variety of activities from inputting into user stories, writing test cases based on these, resourcing results using GIRA, gathering test data, reviewing the results and driving retrospective changes for improvement on the project. 


Essential criteria:

  • Experience in a Test Engineer, Test Analyst or Test position with the experience to work at a senior level
  • Able to bring the experience of working on a wide variety of projects
  • Ability to do and happy to carry out Manual Testing and experience of Automation testing e.g. using Selenium
  • Development experience in C#
  • Code / Language agnostic with the ability to develop in one or more languages e.g. Python, Java or other
  • Ability and hunger to learn more languages 
  • Experience of working in an Agile manner and experience of working in Scrum Teams

Preferred criteria:

  • Performance testing experience in JMeter or other tools
  • API testing experience
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks 
  • Experience of line management, mentoring or supervising (Does not need to line manager in the future)
  • ISTQB certification an advantage
  • Experience of creating, adding and maintaining test automation frameworks 
  • Azure Cloud experience
