Job Description

Version 1 require an exceptional Senior Delivery Manager / Scrum Master with significant delivery responsibility to initially provide the Scrum Master role within a key customer account.

You would be running the Agile ceremonies, and managing a large Version 1 Scrum. You would be reporting both to Version 1, as well as the client's Programme Director. You would have a unique opportunity to influence the product roadmap and release strategy, the MVP, as well as to improve and streamline the process and ways of working and seek growth opportunities for Version 1 within this strategic account.

Agile Process Management:

  • Drive the successful outcome for the client delivery whilst adhering to our values and quality.
  • Scrum Master – ability to serve a Scrum development team and help them achieve and maintain productivity.
  • Use online Agile process management tools to help increase transparency and efficiency of the work done by the Team.
  • Coach the Product Owner in effective product backlog management and facilitate reporting regularly to the client.
  • Guide and mentor the team on how to use Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Manage impediments, eliminate waste and direct the team to foster an environment where they do their best work.

Project Management:

  • Project Budget development.
  • Manage and prioritize V1 Development Resource Work (Agile approach).
  • Project Status Reporting.
  • Customer Liaison (Support Issues, Schedule, Requirements, Testing).
  • Resource planning, budget management.

Team Management:

  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.

Delivery Assurance:

  • Liaise with the Delivery Assurance within Version 1, in respect of run rate, Scrum team performance, impediments, risks and dependencies impacting the project.
  • Own the project status reporting in line with Version 1 and client expectations

Essential criteria:

  • Experienced delivery manager with a solid foundation in SCRUM
  • Experience of working in high-value Agile Projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong Risk / Issue Management experience
  • Budget management, commercial and customer experience.
  • Full SDLC, ideally in a Microsoft development environment.
  • Excellent team motivator.
  • Proven track record in successful delivery Agile engagements.
  • Experience in using Azure DevOps, Jira or similar, for work management and analytics
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Strong interest in developing PM/Agile Capability solutions and methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.

Desirable criteria:

  • Scrum Master Certification (PSM / CSM)
  • Experience of Product Management delivery in Public Sector
  • Experience reporting to ‘C’ level executives

Roles are envisaged to be full time on-site or on customer site.  Expenses will be covered. London and Southampton plus home office based/remote working. For more info please get in touch.
