Fullstack Developer

Job Description

The candidate will be working closely with the customer's architect and lead developer of the their Weather Maps solution to firstly refactor and improve the online presentation layer and to secondly refactor and improve the device handling back-end part of the solution.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can work with little guidance and has a passion for front-end development and visualising complex, (network) related data and relationships as well as good experiencing in obtaining this data and relationships from back-end systems.

The ideal candidate has experience with a range of front-end and back-end technologies, has a good understanding of modern frameworks, design patterns and industry best practice and can analyse, articulate and agree functional UI/UX, technologies, frameworks and design with customer’s Weather Maps architect to refactor and improve the existing solution under his guidance

  • A minimum of 3 to 5+ years’ experience in full stack application development and need to have worked in a disciplined development environment
  • Front-End development using HTML5, JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks (ReactJS, NodeJS), CSS/SASS including invoking RESTful services asynchronously using AJAX
  • Version Control Systems (GIT)
  • Unix, Unix CLI and experience with scripting languages like PhP and Perl
  • Experience with fixed/mobile telephony and IT networks is desirable
  • Experience with researching new technologies, including hands-on technical evaluation and POCs is desirable
  • Experience with testing frameworks and TDD (like Jest) is desirable
  • Experience of working within an Agile environment is desirable
