Job Description

The Application Service Owner represents the business as a point of escalation and communicates on the level of Application service being provided.

The service owner understands the technology layer and is in tune with the outcomes expected by the business from the Application.  The Application SO will listen to business stakeholders and push for change based on changing business needs.

The service owner is accountable for successful operation, continuous improvement, and relationship with the business for the service.  The team leads are responsible for day-to-day operations. 

Goals of Service Owner Role

  • To be a bridge between the business and technical teams
  • To communicate business priorities to the technical teams
  • To move the mind-set related to CSI from a project approach to a daily habitual approach
  • To safeguard the quality of the operational systems that support business processes
Qualifications

You'll need 6+ years of experience in the following IT processes:

  • Incident, Problem, Change, and Release management
  • Configuration, Service level, and Service Catalogue management
  • Continual Service Improvement and IT Service Continuity
  • Creating and maintaining documentation
  • Communicating back to the business, generating reports
