Java Developer with Azure Cloud

In this customer-facing role, you will be working closely with key stakeholders to define and build the required key pieces of technology within an Agile team environment. You will ensure all key technical requirements are identified, estimated, designed, implemented, and tested.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with key stakeholders to define and build the required technical components 
• Working within an Agile team to ensure that all key technical requirements are identified, estimated, designed, implemented and tested.
• Working on a collaborative cross-technology team where Java, APIs, Angular & PL/SQL interact with a range of business logic interfaces & systems.
• Performing and supporting technical & design reviews of your own and other stories.
• Ensuring that consistent design patterns, methodologies, and design documentation are maintained across all of your development projects.
• Self-motivated and keen to learn new technologies and methodologies

You'll need 3+ years of Java/Azure Cloud experience and experience working in a disciplined development environment. Our emphasis is on communications skills and teamwork - we encourage interest from enthusiastic developers with an interest in a fast-tracked career in a high-energy environment. You need to be a self-starter.

Key Skills:

• Excellent grasp of Spring Framework with a focus on Spring Boot
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs
• Experience working on a cloud environment preferably Microsoft Azure
• Strong use of testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito. Functional test framework knowledge an advantage (RestAssured, Gherkin, Cucumber)
• Strong working knowledge of GIT version control
• Experience working with relational database (preference Oracle) and NoSql (E.G. CosmosDB)
• Previous experience working with Docker and Kubernetes an advantage
• Have experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using VSTS or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Azure components such as API Management, Service Bus, Functions, Logic Apps, AKS would be an advantage

Desired Skills :

• Work experience of Oracle PL/SQL (i.e. oracle functions, procedures, triggers, packages & performance tuning
• Experience or good understanding of working in an Automated Test environment
• Experience in test automation with Cypress.io
• Front-End development using HTML5, JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks (e.g. AngularJS, KnockoutJS or BackboneJS), CSS/SASS/LESS
