Job Description

Version 1 Software Asset Management (SAM) Managed Services team is particularly important for large complex enterprises looking to minimize capex spend and optimise license reuse. Version 1’s SAM Managed Service Team has been delivering SAM Managed Services for over 20 years, helping them to reduce risk and cost in their license estate on an ongoing basis. 

We are looking for a contract and licensing administrator to join the team.

The role will : 

  • Record all sales in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that the license queries inbox is monitored on a regularly basis
  • Monitor the case management system, resolve where possible or assign to another team member and close-off where possible
  • Ensure that all basic renewals are sent out to customers in a timely manner.
  • Provide basic hardware/software quotes
  • Keep Renewals Planner up to date and add new renewals when required.
  • Create order documents to reflect customers’ requirements and agreements once commitment has been reached.
  • Co-ordinate with suppliers and distributors to obtain quotes and ordering documents
  • Take responsibility for the storage process of LM executed contracts for license resale and services ensuring that they are countersigned, returned to the customer and filed with Version 1 both manually and electronically.
  • Build relationships with distributors and vendors.
  • Liaise with in-house teams to ensure that projects are set up on systems correctly
  • Work with specific vendors to ensure that Portals are up to date and the necessary distribution agreements are in place
  • Maintaining relationships with various teams, IT, and business partners; communicating with  
  • Ensure that operational best practices, processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Work with specific vendors to ensure that Portals are up to date and the necessary distribution agreements are in place
  • Resource planning for a sub-team of the License Fulfilment team
  • Provide Forecast information for the sub-team of the License Fulfilment team
  • Provide and works with the Primary focus to provide more complex quotes to customers
  • Regularly review customer service requirements to determine current and future needs and develop tasks specific to mutually agreed agendas to ultimately ensure delivery of services
  • Coordinating and implementing planned changes within the Team
  • Maintaining relationships with various teams, IT, and business partners and vendors both internally and externally
  • Ensure that operational best practices, processes and procedures implemented and adhered to and updated when required
  • Perform requirements gathering, budgeting, resource planning, forecasting and cost management for the License Fulfilment service function
  • Work with specific vendors to ensure that Portals are up to date and the necessary distribution agreements are in place.
  • Excellent administrative skills

  • Strong detailed QA skills
  • Knowledge of previous contracts admin & management beneficial but not essential

All roles are currently remotely based in the UK. Ideally this role  will have a Knutsford base for team support, but it's not essential.

Going forward this role will involve both client site travel and some remote working. Expenses will be covered.
