Senior Java Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Java Developer to join our Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE). The CCoE is responsible for developing our solution accelerators which we use as the basis for project delivery across the organisation. You will be responsible for our Java based accelerators, ensuring we provide best practice Java based solutions that our entire organisation will use as the starting point for service delivery. You will have the opportunity to focus full time on developing best practice and cutting-edge solutions, exploring various architectures. This provides a unique opportunity for people who are passionate about technology and have a deep commitment to code quality and best. Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of various Java based solutions
• Mentor junior members of the team
• Ensure solutions developed use best practices and are highly secure
• Set the standard for code quality and engineering excellence
• Support and advocate the usage of our solutions and our Centre of Excellence to wider org
• Stay up to date on latest technology trends for application in our solutions
• Provide thought leadership both within the organisation and externally
• Work in an Agile environment where you will be challenged and motivated.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Java
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Spring & Spring Boot
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cloud Native development (Azure or AWS)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience using modern development technologies and processes such as Agile & DevOps et
• Experience in mentoring and leading junior members of a team
• Strong knowledge of common architectural design patterns
• Ability and desire to quickly pick up new technologies, languages and tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Passionate about code quality and best practices an absolute must
