The Version 1 West Midlands office is located in Redditch’s Town Centre – 5 minutes walk to the modern Kingfisher Shopping Centre ranked 20th out of 100 centres in the UK. It features mosaics by sculptor and artist Sir Eduardo Luigi Paolozzi, a new restaurant quarter where there is a wide variety of food to suit all tastes, cinema and gym. Outside of the shopping centre, the Church Green conservation area houses the 18th century St Stephens Church, bandstand with events throughout the year, Bartleet Fountain and established open air market. The train station is easily accessible and only 7 minutes walking distance.

I work with various clients to support their distribution areas of the JDE system. Redditch has an excellent indoor shopping centre within walking distance of the office and various pubs and restaurants, and the train station is nearby to get into Birmingham city centre within around 35 minutes. The main thing I have noticed since joining Version 1 is that there is always a focus on allowing employees to progress, where with internal training, external sessions, and this is documented in quarterly meetings and career development.

I work as a Software Developer in the ERP Practice of Version 1, developing and implementing JD Edwards software solutions for clients. Working in Redditch town centre is very convenient as it offers many restaurants and places to eat as well as a wide range of shops if you ever need to pick something up. There's also a local country park and lake not too far away from the office for those who enjoy walks in nature! Version 1 help you work on a career plan so you always feel like you're progressing towards a goal.

The Redditch office is located close to the town centre with access to train station, gyms, cafes and bars as well as the Kingfisher Centre with 140 shopping units, restaurants and cinema. Industrial History
The history of Redditch is much related to the Industrial Revolution in England and its products were known throughout the world. These products include needles, fishing tackle, batteries, springs, motorbikes (The Royal Enfield) and other light industrial products
Growing Pains
Redditch’s roads were built before most of the town in order to accommodate rapid population growth (from 30,000 to 70,000). Locals love Redditch’s roads as they are usually far less congested than most and allow for rapid journeys between different parts of the town, visitors have a habit of getting lost.
Easy Access
Redditch is conveniently located close to central UK motorway network and Birmingham Airport, with a large number of attractions within easy reach. Coughton Court (closely associated to the Gunpowder Plot), Ragley Hall, Henley In Arden, Cadbury World and the Vale of Evesham are all on the doorstep, with Birmingham, Stratford Upon Avon, Worcester, Warwick, the Malvern Hills, The Cotswolds and Cheltenham all within easy reach.
