Version 1 was delighted to be named IT Company or Team of the Year<\/strong> at the 2019 Belfast Telegraph Business Awards<\/strong>, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belfast.<\/p>\n

The award recognises organisations that have demonstrated excellence in developing and implementing technology strategies that drive business objectives, improve competitiveness, support growth, increase profitability and enhance public services.<\/p>\n

A Standout Year for Version 1 Northern Ireland<\/h5>\n

The award reflects the significant achievements of Version 1’s Northern Ireland team, which enjoyed another year of strong growth and performance.<\/p>\n

During the period, the Belfast operation:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Grew to more than 100 employees<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Supported over 20 local and international customers<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Increased revenues by 30% year-on-year<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Expanded its digital transformation capabilities across public and private sector clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    In addition to commercial success, the team worked closely with local schools, universities and community organisations to create pathways into technology careers for underrepresented groups and individuals without traditional IT backgrounds.<\/p>\n

    The team also played a key role in major public sector transformation programmes, including supporting the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA)<\/strong> on its ongoing digital transformation journey.<\/p>\n

    Recognition for a Growing Northern Ireland Team<\/h5>\n

    Accepting the award on behalf of the Belfast team, Lorna McAdoo, Head of Operations for Northern Ireland<\/strong>, said:<\/p>\n

    The award recognised not only the team’s commercial growth but also its contribution to developing Northern Ireland’s technology ecosystem and supporting digital transformation across the public sector.<\/p>\n

    At the time of the award, Version 1 continued to expand its Belfast operations and invest in local talent.<\/p>\n
