Version 1 Named IT Company of the Year in Northern Ireland

The award was presented at the 2019 Belfast Telegraph Business Awards in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Version 1 was thrilled to be crowned ‘IT Company or Team of the Year’ at the 2019 Belfast Telegraph Business Awards last night. This accolade is presented to a business who has shown excellence in developing and implementing IT strategy to meet objectives, achieve greater competitiveness, achieve growth, boost profitability, and improve public services during the past 12 months.

The Version 1 Northern Ireland team has really exceeded these ambitions through incremental growth and an exceptional year in 2018; growing the team to 100 people, providing services to over 20 local and international customers and increasing revenues by 30% YOY. The team also worked closely with local Schools, Universities and other agencies in establishing routes for under-represented groups and non-IT people to start a career in IT throughout Northern Ireland. The team is continuing to expand in the region and is winning significant business; they are presently supporting the ongoing Digital Transformation programme of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) in Northern Ireland.

Lorna McAdoo, Head of Operations at Version 1 in Northern Ireland, was thrilled to accept the award on behalf of the team. She commented afterwards: “We are just ecstatic to win this award!
