Version 1 recognised as a Best Managed Company 2014

The Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme, in association with Barclays Bank Ireland, recognises indigenous Irish companies across the island of Ireland which are operating at the highest levels of business performance. Qualifying companies were recognised at an awards gala dinner in Dublin on 7 March 2014. An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, TD, congratulated the award winners in a keynote speech at the event.

Showcasing companies who achieve standards of excellence in business, the awards honour those who have displayed superior performance across various facets of the organisation including management strength, ability to innovate, strategic initiatives and financial performance. Attaining the accolade for the first time in 2012, Version 1 has proven  yet again to have sustained a relentless focus on superior business performance. "Receiving this award for a third successive year is something we are very proud of, it is an external benchmark that reflects the embedded culture of excellence within Version 1. As we continue to grow and expand into new markets we are focused in ensuring the world class standards achieved across profitability, customer satisfaction and employee engagement are not only maintained but are bettered. As we look to fulfill our ambition to become the first €1 billion Irish Services Company we know the foundations we set in place now will be a key enabler in achieving this vision," said Justin Keatinge, CEO, Version 1. Brendan Jennings, Managing Partner, Deloitte and judging panel member commented, “As the Irish economy continues to strengthen the outlook for the winning companies is extremely positive. They have all demonstrated an exceptional ability to innovate and grow and are now excellently positioned to benefit as the outlook for Ireland Inc continues to improve.” In February 2014, Version 1 were named in the Top 3 Best Large Workplaces in the official Great Place to Work® survey. In January 2014, Version 1 announced its second UK acquisition, acquiring Edinburgh headquartered IT consultancy Rocela Group. In November 2013, Version 1 acquired the UK business operations of Northern European IT Services Company Tieto Corporation in what was billed as the first stage of a three year acquisition programme.
