Version 1 Welcomes SAMR2 to Software Asset Management Practice
The transition of the SAMR2 team to Version 1 complements Version 1’s existing specialist SAM practice and further enhances our Microsoft expertise in this area and in providing Microsoft solutions and services both on premise and in the cloud. Joining the team from SAMR2 are Karl O’Doherty and Niamh Ní Shúilleabháin.
As an ex-Microsoft Engagement Manager and Dell account manager, Karl O’Doherty of SAMR2 has negotiated multi-vendor contracts covering hundreds of thousands of devices from both the vendor and client perspective over the last 14 years. Karl founded a successful independent pure-play SAM specialist company, SAM360, and was the recipient of a number of international awards and plaudits for achievements within the SAM sector. Karl’s experience in his previous license consulting roles in SAMR2, Microsoft, Dell and IONA give him a deep insight into license optimisation and SAM service delivery.
Niamh Ní Shúilleabháin, who has worked for Microsoft as both a License Compliance Specialist & Key Accounts Manager, has held roles in Microsoft, Adobe & Symantec reseller channel with MicroWarehouse. More recently Niamh has supported Microsoft licensing customers for SAM360 and SAMR2 to great effect and positive outcomes. Having worked in the software industry for the last 17 years Niamh has an impressive depth of experience in the area of software license optimisation, solution development & baseline development.
The Version 1 SAM team will be augmented by the SAMR2 team, focusing on delivering world class Microsoft SAM services helping customers to optimise software procurement, manage software license compliance risk & improve strategic planning associated with Microsoft software assets.
