On Wednesday, 18th February 2015 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dublin, Burlington Road, the cream of Ireland's HR industry were recognised and celebrated in front of an audience of over 200 senior executives. Hosted by the hilarious Irish comedian Colm O’Regan of ‘Irish Mammies’ fame, 13 prestigious trophies were presented to the very best leaders and thinkers at the cutting-edge of HR in Ireland. The Best Use of CSR in HR Award was won by Version 1 as an example of a company that has embedded corporate social responsibility throughout the organisation, in particular through its people. It highlights the role HR has played in the strategy and execution of CSR initiatives and how CSR is making a difference to employees and the business through measurable results. Version 1’s CSR programme, “The Community Trust” fits these values and is a prime example of a CSR programme with high levels of engagement from HR and the employees of Version 1. The Community Trust is an initiative which supports the transformation of the local and global communities in which we live and work. To learn more about The community Trust, please click here. The HR Leadership & Management Awards 2015 celebrate excellence in HR and recognise that it will be key to the future economic prosperity of the Irish economy. These awards have been launched to recognise the emerging role of HR as a strategic management tool which, if correctly aligned with organisational business objectives, will underpin both business profitability and sustainability.
