Version 1 was delighted to be named IT Company or Team of the Year at the 2019 Belfast Telegraph Business Awards, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belfast.
The award recognises organisations that have demonstrated excellence in developing and implementing technology strategies that drive business objectives, improve competitiveness, support growth, increase profitability and enhance public services.
A Standout Year for Version 1 Northern Ireland
The award reflects the significant achievements of Version 1’s Northern Ireland team, which enjoyed another year of strong growth and performance.
During the period, the Belfast operation:
- Grew to more than 100 employees
- Supported over 20 local and international customers
- Increased revenues by 30% year-on-year
- Expanded its digital transformation capabilities across public and private sector clients
In addition to commercial success, the team worked closely with local schools, universities and community organisations to create pathways into technology careers for underrepresented groups and individuals without traditional IT backgrounds.
The team also played a key role in major public sector transformation programmes, including supporting the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) on its ongoing digital transformation journey.
