The conversation I’m having with Oracle Fusion customers right now centres on a single, honest tension. Organisations recognise they need to extract more value from their Oracle investment. They see quarterly releases and understand that AI capabilities are maturing rapidly, yet they’re constrained by something far more fundamental: time and resources.

This pattern became particularly apparent during our recent Oracle AI Success Navigator webinar, where experienced Oracle customers gathered to explore how the platform could help them manage their Fusion estate more effectively. What emerged wasn’t just a set of product capabilities, it was a clear picture of where the Oracle community sits right now, and why so many organisations are struggling to move from awareness to action.

The resource challenge is real

When we asked attendees what their biggest obstacle was in maximising value from Oracle Fusion, 41% identified lack of time and resources. That’s nearly three in five organisations competing for headcount whilst simultaneously managing implementation backlogs, keeping systems stable, and now grappling with continuous innovation cycles. A further 27% cited difficulty in prioritising new innovations – a challenge that compounds when your team is already stretched.

What’s worth noting is that these aren’t organisations new to Oracle. 85% of webinar attendees described themselves as experienced Fusion customers. 39% have been customers for over three years, and a further 33% are between one and three years into their journey. These are mature operations, past the complexity of initial implementation, facing a different kind of challenge: how to keep pace with Oracle’s velocity without burning out the team or losing sight of business outcomes.

Pie chart showing familiarity levels: 45% have explored it a few times, 32% know about it but haven’t used it, 14% first introduction, and 9% use it regularly.

This is the moment at which Oracle AI Success Navigator becomes not a nice-to-have, but a necessary tool for sustainable operations.

What Oracle AI Success Navigator actually does

For those less familiar with the platform, Oracle AI Success Navigator is Oracle’s integrated environment for managing the complete Oracle Fusion journey; from initial planning through implementation and into continuous post-live operations. It sits within every Oracle Fusion Cloud subscription at no additional cost.

The platform combines structured project planning, AI-guided recommendations, Oracle Modern Best Practices, and collaborative tooling into a single workspace shared across your team, your implementation partner, and your Oracle Customer Success Manager. It’s not something bolted on after go-live; it’s designed to become embedded in how your team operates day to day.

In practice, this means teams spend less time seeking out information and more time focusing on decisions that matter.

The core value sits in four pillars:

  • Driving accountability and transformation outcomes

It helps achieve transformation objectives through role-level ownership and accountability

  • Confident design with built-in best practices

It supports confident design decisions by surfacing Oracle Modern Best Practices, reducing customisation risk, and providing starter configurations; pre-configured environments where teams can gain hands-on experience before committing to design choices

  • Maximising value through adoption and readiness

It maximises your Oracle investment through adoption roadmaps and release readiness planning

  • AI-powered guidance at every stage

It places AI at every stage, with the Ask Oracle chatbot surfacing risks, answering queries, and generating practical guidance

What our webinar revealed: The awareness/action gap

The most striking finding from our poll was this: whilst the majority of attendees knew about Oracle AI Success Navigator, most were not using it.

Pie chart showing familiarity levels: 45% have explored it a few times, 32% know about it but haven’t used it, 14% first introduction, and 9% use it regularly.

Only 9% of attendees reported using it regularly. A further 45% had explored it a few times. Meanwhile, 32% knew about it but hadn’t used it, and 14% were encountering it for the first time. That’s a significant gap between awareness and adoption, and it tells an important story about where organisations sit with enablement.

The capability is already there, licensed, and available. What’s missing isn’t the tool – it’s a clear narrative around where it fits in your operating model, and how to make it part of day-to-day practice rather than something to explore intermittently.

The webinar also revealed strong appetite for what’s emerging. When we asked which areas customers wanted to accelerate, Oracle AI capabilities and AI agents drew interest from 31% of respondents, matching interest in Redwood adoption strategy at exactly the same level. A further 23% prioritised quarterly release and innovation adoption. This tells us the Oracle community recognises the shift toward agentic capabilities and is actively seeking guidance on how to navigate it.

Where we can help

We partner with you at every stage of your Oracle journey; through implementation, stabilisation, and ongoing optimisation. With over 700 dedicated Oracle consultants (more than 500 of whom hold Oracle certifications) we bring practitioner-level depth across the Oracle product stack, from Fusion through to EPM, and we understand what enablement looks like in real customer environments.

What we’ve learned from conversations like the ones surfaced in this webinar is that customers don’t need someone to tell them what Oracle AI Success Navigator is. They need someone to help them embed it into how they work, prioritise the initiatives that matter most, and move from reactive, partner-led support to a smarter self-service model where teams handle routine queries independently and partner time is reserved for advisory work that drives measurable business impact.

That’s the opportunity. Most Oracle Fusion customers are experiencing the resource constraint and the innovation velocity challenge we’ve outlined. Yet 91% aren’t actively using the tool designed to address both. That’s not a failure of the platform. It’s a gap in enablement and strategic integration.

If you’re facing this tension, aware of what’s possible, but uncertain how to activate it, we’d welcome a conversation. Whether you’re exploring AI Success Navigator for the first time, looking to embed it more systematically, or seeking to design your Redwood adoption strategy, we’re here to help turn awareness into action.
