Meet the Version 1 team at the Business Post Smart Health Summit
Version 1 is a sponsor of the 2026 Business Post Smart Health Summit, and our Head of Digital Advisory, Ronan Laffan, joins the opening deep-dive panel on Sláintecare and digital integration.
2026 is a decision year for Irish healthcare technology. The HSE has started procurement for a national Electronic Health Record, the National Shared Care Record is moving into delivery, and Digital for Care 2030 is setting the direction for service redesign. All three depend on the same capability: systems that share data reliably across primary, community and acute settings.
That is our work. Version 1 modernises legacy application estates, designs for interoperability from the outset, and helps healthcare organisations take practical steps with data and AI once those foundations exist. If you are planning EHR readiness, connecting services through shared care records, or deciding where AI earns its place, our team would like to hear what you are dealing with.

Sláintecare and digital integration: enabling regional health transformation
The panel examines how digital health supports Sláintecare’s shift towards regional, integrated, population-based care, covering AI, data and interoperability across regions, telemedicine and telecare, and how national frameworks shape service redesign through to 2030.
A key focus is the National Shared Care Record, a practical example of how shared data connects services, improves continuity of care, and enables more coordinated delivery at regional level.
At the event our team includes:
Ronan Laffan – Head of Digital Advisory
Aidan Mullen – Head of Irish Public Sector
Ronan Muldoon – Business Development Director
Kevin Dempsey – Principal Consultant
Eimear Murphy – Project Manager
