Today we officially opened our new technology hub in Birmingham city centre, conveniently located for our growing client base and ready to accommodate the 500 new jobs previously announced in October last year. With a dedicated team of people already operating in the area, this news heralds an exciting start to the year and is a springboard for a strong investment plan in technology and people.

Guest of honour at the ribbon cutting ceremony was Henrietta Brealey, CEO of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce. Commenting on the celebration, she said “It’s fabulous to see companies like Version 1 investing in the area, underscoring the fact that it is a great place to do business. As we connect all the stakeholders in the community, we know that the opportunities this kind of commitment brings about can help to elevate the West Midlands as a powerful business location. It also very positively impacts the employment and upskilling potential for the local community too.”

My warm thanks to Version 1 for demonstrating its commitment to the West Midlands. I look forward to seeing this investment changing lives for the better in the months and years ahead.”

Attending the milestone event today were our Managing Director for Digital, Data and Cloud, Enda Diggins and UK Portfolio Director Emma Mitchell.

“We could not have chosen a better location for our new technology hub and are very excited to be officially opening it today, earlier than expected,” said Enda Diggins, Managing Director for Digital, Data and Cloud at Version 1. “Not only are we closer to our existing customer base, but here we have access to some of the best technology talent that the UK has to offer and with our own Digital Skills Academies opening later this quarter, we can offer our customers the best expertise, locally.”

Recruitment for the new roles will start now and included in this will be positions within the Digital Skills Academy starting in April. For more information go to: https://www.version1.com/careers/early-careers/
