Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Internal Communications and Events Co-Ordinator to organize and support our calendar of engaging internal events in Version 1. You will be a key member of the Internal Communications team which, together with Employee Experience, forms the Communication and Engagement function in Version 1.

The Internal Communications and Events Coordinator will be a key contributor in enhancing the employee experience, promoting collaboration, and facilitating engagement across Version 1. This role involves coordinating a series of events throughout the year, ensuring effective communication, and supporting our culture. You will be responsible for every aspect of internal events, from choosing venues to evaluating success afterwards.

The ideal candidate for this fast-paced role must be well-organized and competent in vendor management, passionate about excellence in communication and possess a high attention to detail.

The Internal Communications and Events Coordinator will be responsible for devising, planning and executing live and virtual event management projects across a wide event spectrum including Awards Ceremonies, Internal Competitions & Campaigns, Conferences, Launches, Company Parties and Employee Engagement.

The ideal candidate should be highly driven, fun to work alongside, passionate, humble yet hungry and passionate about what they do.

Responsibilities

1.           Event Coordination:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, organize, and execute internal events.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, invitations, catering, and event materials.
  • Ensure events align with organizational goals and enhance employee engagement.

2.           Internal Communications:

  • Create engaging content for our communication channels.

3.           Strategic Messaging:

  • Articulate key messages that align with Version 1’s Core Values and strategic priorities.
  • Ensure communication materials are accurate, high-quality, and aligned with our Core Values and strategic goals.
  • Use internal tools effectively to maximize communication impact.

4.           Brand Culture and Identity:

  • Contribute to Version 1’s culture through effective communication.
  • Maintain consistency in messaging, branding, and imagery.
  • Manage content for our internal social media channels.

5.           Metrics and Continuous Improvement:

  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communication channels.
  • Analyse data to enhance communication strategies.
  • Continuously improve internal communication approaches

6.           Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work closely with colleagues in the People team, Employee Experience, ESG, and other relevant stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Communications & Events experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver Excellence in Communications and Event Co-Ordination
  • Ability to effectively manage senior relationships – up to c-suite level.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while delivering practical results.
