Pioneering collaboration and innovation will set a new benchmark for how the council of the future will look in the UK
Version 1, a leader in digital transformation and AI, today announced that it has secured a significant contract with Lincolnshire County Council to become its long-term strategic technology partner.
The landmark deal marks the start of a partnership of up to 11 years and is a pivotal moment for Version 1. It also secures the county council’s vision of leveraging new technology to transform its services and better support its residents.
The partnership will focus on implementing digital solutions to streamline and enhance the delivery of its key public services such as education, adult care and social services, making them more accessible and user friendly and transforming the user experience.
Both organisations are committed to a collaborative approach that will see them working closely together with stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of new technologies for optimised outcomes.
Lincolnshire County Council clearly laid out an ambitious vision to not only serve the community to the best of its ability now, but to anticipate how residents’ needs will evolve. The core pillars of the partnership are based on secure and responsive core IT services, agile system development, and targeted adoption of new and emerging capabilities such as AI.
A key consideration throughout has been how work will support the council’s commitment to working smarter and making services more efficient.
Commenting on the new partnership, leader of Lincolnshire County Council, Cllr Sean Matthews, said:
“We’re a council who embraces new technology, welcomes new ideas, and finds more efficient ways of working; and this partnership with Version 1 lets us do that. Working smarter is how we improve the services we already deliver to our residents and get the absolute best value for taxpayers’ money.”
Roop Singh, CEO at Version 1 said: “We are honoured to partner with Lincolnshire County Council in this way and support its approach to leveraging technology for improving public services. This collaboration exemplifies how technology can be harnessed to enhance people’s lives and support thriving communities. We are well positioned to make the next phase of the journey incredibly impactful and ultimately, exciting.”
