Version 1 announces ISO 27001 certification
The ISO 27001 certification was awarded to Version 1 following a rigorous auditing process covering all ICT services provided by its state-of-the-art Managed Services Centre in Dublin city centre and supported by Version 1 staff across Europe. The centre manages critical IT systems and infrastructure for a portfolio of local and international customers.
ISO 27001 is the strictest international standard available in information security management, enabling companies to certify the security practices they adopt within their organisation. This requires a systematic examination and auditing of an organisation’s information security risks, taking into account any threats or vulnerabilities.
The certification of this standard demonstrates Version 1’s comprehensive suite of security controls and how its management processes ensure these controls continue to meet its customers’ stringent security needs. The ISO 27001 certification is recognition of the measures which Version 1 has in place to protect client information and data, and builds on Version 1’s successful implementation of the international IT Service Management standard ISO 20000 which was achieved in 2011.
Version 1 CEO, Justin Keatinge said “We are delighted to have achieved ISO 27001 as it represents external validation of the quality of our world-class managed services operations. We have established ourselves as a market leader in outsourced support services and have capitalised on the shift away from in-house and off-shored delivery models. The achievement of the ISO 27001 standard, in addition to our ISO 20000 standard, provides another important differentiator for us demonstrating the security, quality and repeatability of our managed service operations.”
