The standard promotes an integrated process approach to the delivery of IT services and allows organisations to demonstrate excellence and best practice in IT management. Commenting on the announcement, Catherine Hughes, Head of Managed Services said, "This certification is industry recognition of the maturity of our Managed Services. ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 requires hard evidence that our Managed Service Practice is complying with every part of the standard and that we are committed to continually improving the service we provide our customers."
ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 is aligned with and complementary to the process approach defined within ITIL (the IT Infrastructure Library) which Version 1 adopted 6 years ago. "Achieving ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 is an important differentiator providing our customers with an independent assessment of the quality and repeatability of our Managed Services. It will be significant in helping to attract and retain customers by driving increased productivity, reducing costs to our customers and by consistently meeting and exceeding our customers' expectations," said Hughes.
"Certification Europe is delighted to congratulate Version 1 on their ISO 20000 certification. Becoming certified to ISO 20000 demonstrates Version 1’s commitment to excellence. Operating their business to the highest levels and best practices copper fastens their leading position in the marketplace. Version 1 has scored a significant first by being the only organisation in the country to gain certification to ISO 20001:2011," said Michael Brophy, CEO of certification body Certification Europe Ltd.
