As the refresh cycle of Cloud Applications such as Oracle Cloud ERP or Oracle Cloud HCM/SCM moves to quarterly updates, it is important that this update approach is absorbed into the run and operate fabric of the organisation as seamlessly as possible. This means that every quarter each organisation needs to perform resource consuming regression testing on their implementation to ensure nothing has broken due to the changes within the quarterly update. The requirement to undertake expensive, resource intensive, manual regression testing every 12 weeks means that highly skilled employees are not performing their business-as-usual value add roles. This can prove to be a costly overhead that most businesses would like to reduce or remove.
Since the testing performed every quarter utilises the same set of manual test scripts, an automated suite of tests could be developed to optimise the execution of this suite and executed on a quarterly basis. These automated test scripts can be modified as needed if the business need changes. Version 1 aims to solve this problem with the Maximise: Automated Testing solution, which can be developed to automate tests on Oracle Fusion Cloud and more.

An overview of some of the capabilities of Oracle Integration Cloud, including adapters for Oracle Cloud and On-Premise technologies, File Server, App Driven and Scheduled Orchestrations and how these can be utilised for Oracle Cloud migrations or integrating with 3rd Party Systems.

Fusion Tax has a very capable feature-set however realistic successful solutions require a balance struck between features used and the resources required to support them. Another critical real-life factor to be considered is the requirements and level of support that an integrated system environment represents.

This discussion will reveal insights based upon a recent project, into striking a balance between using all the ‘bells and whistles’ of Fusion Tax for full automation, and the support that would demand. It will also include the approach to transactional and standing data integrations and the actual deployment strategies employed to deliver a tax solution to an already live production platform, across Europe and the US.

In this talk we will share some of the lessons learned, unexpected benefits and gotchas people are never told about, or realise will arise, when they go on their first Cloud journey. It can be hard sometimes for customers, bombarded as they are at times, to see beyond the “stock promise” or necessity for Cloud for their organisation. With various sales/pre-sales engagement with Vendors and your partner SIs, how do you elicit the ‘real story’, and how do you use this to position your organisation to anticipate and avoid the “gotchas” and amplify the benefits of Cloud, for the unique needs of your organisation. Having sight of these upfront can help ensure your organisation is better positioned, to realise the real value of Cloud.
