The Women in Tech Awards will be Ireland’s first annual celebration of women and diversity in the technology industry. The goal of the Women in Tech Awards is to drive diversity and narrow the gender gap in an industry which offers opportunity and success to anyone with ambition, passion and a strong work ethic.

The Women in Tech Awards will promote the success of female influencers in the tech industry, who in turn, can stimulate further dialogue around equality and inspire the millions of female tech enthusiasts around the world to become leaders in their own right.

Women at Version 1

Since launching our Diversity & Inclusion Programme, one of the key focuses have been to increase the amount of women in Version 1. We're delighted that this has had a marked increase since we began our journey including increasing our Maternity leave to 6 months full pay and our Paternity leave to 2 weeks full pay.

Empowering our LGBTQ+ employees

In Version 1, we are working hard to create a culture that empowers our LGBTQ+ employees. In 2018, we took the first steps in this journey by celebrating Pride across our offices in the UK and Ireland. Our latest step is the launch of our LGBTQ+ resource group which we hope will ensure Version 1 is a Great Place to Work for people of all genders and sexualities.

Unconscious Bias

One of the key aims of our Diversity & Inclusion Committee is to identify, challenge and reduce unconscious bias in the workplace. Workplaces with less bias at all tend to cultivate fairer, more diverse and more successful cultures. Cases of Unconscious Bias happen every single day in workplaces and they can have a seriously negative impact on staff morale and productivity. We are unaware of our unconscious biases but they are stored away in our minds and still affect the way we think and how we behave.

Unconscious Bias Training has been created to identify one’s own unconscious biases as well as any others that already exist in your workplace. It looks at things such as how they affect workplace relationships, decision making and workplace culture

Cultural Diversity Day

Diversity Day, officially known as "The World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development", is an opportunity to help communities understand the value of cultural diversity and learn how to live together in harmony.
