Job Description

Financial Business Support role maintaining current business systems and processes within Version 1. In this fast-paced environment, you will be challenged to solve tough problems and commit to tight deadlines.  The role also provides an opportunity for someone interested in moving into a deeper financial role.

This role would be suited to an individual with strong ITIL skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for incident management and ticket management. The successful candidate should also have an excellent understanding of business operations including knowledge of business workflows, experience working with systems used to set up projects and manage their commercial aspects, and an awareness of the different types of projects Version 1 engage in.

The successful candidate should also have knowledge of financial metrics, and an appreciation for the different types of revenue generated by different types of projects (e.g., time and materials, support, etc.).

Basic SQL and Apex skills are preferred, but not mandatory.

The role is responsible for ensuring there is excellent quality support delivered; this includes:

  • Triage Support Tickets
  • Identify, categorize, and prioritize requirements of tickets raised
  • Set up new Projects
  • Commercial Changes to projects
  • Month-End Support/Queries
  • Ensuring Timesheets are complete on time
  • Administer contract management system
  • Monitoring and reporting on KPIs
  • Identifying potential improvements in both support, processes, and the systems themselves to deliver Continual Service Improvement.
  • Manage Month End and internal time management tool support. 
  • Monitoring and managing Data Quality within and between the applications. 
  • Work with the development team to ensure new systems and major changes are maintainable


You will need previous financial experience, delivering the highest standards of support for sensitive and time-critical issues. Understanding of financial systems, financial metrics, and commercial considerations is critical along with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required. Experience with Service Management tools would also be beneficial.
