Closing the Gender Pay Gap

Jarlath Dooley spoke to the Sunday Business Post about Version 1's two-year journey to address gender imbalance in the workplace.

Version 1’s HR & Integration Director Jarlath Dooley was delighted to be interviewed by the Sunday Business Post recently about our ongoing Diversity and Inclusion efforts. In his interview with Siobhán Maguire, Jarlath outlined Version 1’s commitment to achieving gender balance across our offices.

The piece echoed our internal sentiments which are dedicated to constantly learning and improving in order to achieve gender-balance within our organisation. Our commitment to driving and fostering Diversity & Inclusion is central to achieving a great workplace and delivering well-rounded diverse business solutions.  While we are not where we want to be yet, we believe with consistent effort and change, the dial will continue to move towards a more equal workplace.

Evidencing these initiatives, we were delighted to be certified as one of the first companies to receive a Great Place to Work for Women in Ireland award earlier this year. This new award recognises organisations that ensure that the women in their workforce are treated fairly when it comes to pay, recognition, training and promotion opportunities; where they can take the time off they need to attend to childcare or other family commitments; and where they are encouraged, empowered, and supported to do their best work.
