Version 1 Awarded Key Managed Service Contract by the Department for Transport
Selected as a Managed Service Provider
The Department for Transport has appointed Version 1 as their Managed Service Provider for the Collision Recording and Sharing (CRaSH) IT system, which the Department is committed to further developing, maintaining, and servicing the CRaSH Web and Mobile application for UK police forces, including Police Scotland.
The Department for Transport works with agencies and partners to support the transport network that helps UK businesses and gets people and goods travelling around the country. The Department is responsible for planning and investing in transport infrastructure to keep the UK safely on the move.
CRaSH IT Managed Service
CRaSH provides mission-critical road casualty data to the Department for Transport to inform the patrol and accident prevention strategies of Department for Transport, Highways England, police, local authorities, and road safety organisations.
The system is currently owned and hosted by the Department for Transport in Microsoft Azure and is managed in conjunction with the National Police Chiefs’ Council and National Policing Information Risk Management Policy Team. Version 1 will provide transition support for the CRaSH IT system, expected to go live in Summer 2021.
