At Version 1, we have been providing Global Payroll training for many years, originally to support implementation and upgrade projects. Having amassed an extensive course catalogue, these are now being offered to the wider Global Payroll community to help organisations address the challenges presented by a mature solution that has been in use for many years:

Training Modules

Basic User Training
1 dayDesigned for new employees joining payroll teams, this course gives the user an excellent introduction to working with Global Payroll and the PeopleSoft product in general. The course begins with an overview of basic system navigation before moving on to demonstrate the integration between the HR and Payroll modules.Register Now
The user becomes familiar with the different points of data entry to the system and is shown how to run the payroll process and check the subsequent results. Examples of what to do when correcting errors are demonstrated. The attendees are also instructed in how to run other reports and processes important to the payroll function -
Advanced User Training
1 dayFollowing on from the Basic User training, this course covers some of the more complex features and processes contained within the Global Payroll solution.Register Now
Attendees are instructed in how to run the payroll process more selectively, by payee list, group list and streaming. The principles of iterative processing are explored in detail. Advanced methods of data entry and extraction are also covered, including the build and use of input templates and use of file upload processes.

Absence Processing
1 dayThis course gives the users a detailed knowledge of how to load absence data for employees and calculate the correct results for all types of statutory absence. This includes:Register Now

• Statutory Adoption Pay
Users are shown how these statutory absences can be associated with any occupational schemes they may have within their organisation as well as how to apply corrections to data and how the calculated absence information can integrate with their payroll process. The subjects of absence forecasting and reporting are also covered in depth.

Payroll Rule Configuration
2 daysThis module is designed to give users the ability to perform basic maintenance to their Global Payroll setup whilst covering complex changes at an overview level. This will include:Register Now
• Understanding the configuration framework
• Setting up new Earnings and Deductions
• Updating the Processing Framework
• Organisational Framework changes
• Supporting Elements
• Integrating with other modules
At the end of the course, users will have the necessary skills to apply simple updates to configuration rules and will also be familiar with the structure of the module setup which will aid them in understanding what will be involved when making more complex updates to the process. -
Absence Rule Configuration
2 daysThis module is designed to give users the ability to perform basic maintenance to their Absence Management setup whilst covering complex changes at an overview level. This will include:Register Now
• Understand the configuration framework
• Update Absence Entitlement and Take Elements
• Understand Absence Types
• Update Processing and Organisational Framework
• Supporting Elements
• Integrate absence data with payroll processing and other modules
Upon conclusion, users will be armed with the necessary skills to apply maintenance to absence configuration rules and will also be familiar with the structure of the module setup, helping them to understand what will be involved when making more complex updates to the process.
