What does the Version 1 interview process look like?
The first round is generally conducted over MS Teams, it will be a technical interview with the Hiring Team, followed by a culture fit interview, mostly conducted by the Hiring Manager/ HR. On occasion with certain roles, we may have an option to invite you in for a face-to-face interview to meet the team which will also provide you an opportunity to see your local office.
What should I wear to the interview?
Even in these hybrid times, we would ask you to dress appropriately for any interview. Smart casual is our advice – we encourage you to bring your authentic self.
How many roles can I apply for?
At Version 1 we welcome multiple applications – feel free to apply for as many roles as you like!
I interviewed/applied last year and wasn’t selected, may I reapply?
If it has been more than 6 months since your original application, you are free to re-apply.
When can expect feedback about my application?
After initially applying to Version 1, you can expect to hear back from our Talent Acquisition Team within 2-3
business days. Further into the process you can expect feedback on your interviews within 1 to 2 weeks.
How long does the Version 1 hiring process take?
The Version 1 hiring process usually takes 2-3 weeks from initial application to final interview. Each interview
will be 45-60 mins in length (but could run longer).
Tell me more about Thomas International assessments?
Thomas International is our online psychometric test partner. Typically you will be asked to complete 2 assessments ; PPA ( Personality Profile Assessment) and the HPTI (High Performance Trait indicators). Both assessments take approximately 10 minutes to complete and the results will be available to you. Some roles also require the third assessment after the initial stage. This is the GIA ( General Intelligence Assessment)
What should I prepare for technical interviews?
We base our technical interviews around your skills, competencies, and experiences. As such, there are no set questions. In advance of your interview, we would always recommend going through the initial job specification and the company details.
In advance of your interview, please make sure you are in a quiet place where you cannot be interrupted. We would always recommend going back over the job description and key skills so that you can discuss these. Have a good look at the Version 1 website too and be aware of what we do and who we are.
Do I have to take a technical test as part of the interview?
Generally no – it depends on the role.
Should the role you’re applying for require it you will be advised of this in advance and what to expect.
What should I expect from a hiring manager interview?
Hiring manager interviews at Version 1 aim to delve into your thoughts around your career; where you want to go, why you
want to join us and more. We would recommend having a look at our website in advance of this interview,
particularly our Core Values, DNA and Culture.
Can I get any more information in advance of my interview?
The recruiter will always touch base with you prior to your interview to answer any queries you may have. You
