Version 1 achieves ‘A’ rating from CDP, placing it among global leaders in climate action
Version 1, a leader in AI and transformation, has been awarded an ‘A’ rating by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), placing the company among the top 4% of organisations globally recognised for climate leadership.
An ‘A’ score is CDP’s highest rating and awarded only to organisations that demonstrate that climate action is fully embedded across their business and already delivering measurable results. This includes robust, high-quality environmental data, strong governance structures, and clear evidence that climate considerations directly influence decision-making, from day-to-day operations and procurement to supplier engagement and service delivery.
More than 22,000 companies worldwide disclosed environmental data to CDP in the latest reporting cycle, yet only 877 organisations achieved an A rating, highlighting the level of maturity, consistency and accountability required to reach the top tier. In Ireland, Version 1 is one of just ten companies to receive this distinction.
Commenting on the achievement, Helen Lambe, Global Climate Resilience and Strategy Lead at Version 1 said,
“An A rating from CDP reflects the fact that climate considerations are embedded into how we run our business, not treated as a standalone initiative. It’s independent recognition that our approach is delivering measurable results and shaping real decisions across operations, suppliers and customer delivery.”
For customers and partners, the A rating provides independent validation that Version 1’s climate commitments are integrated into how the business operates and delivers for clients. The score offers confidence that climate considerations are embedded into real-world decisions, supporting resilience, transparency and long-term value creation.
CDP ratings are widely used by investors, policymakers and procurement teams to assess corporate environmental performance and risk. Achieving an A rating signals that an organisation is not only managing climate-related risks effectively, but also proactively aligning its business model with the transition to a low-carbon economy.
