René Moddejongen - Open Source Lead, Microsoft
René is responsible for the Microsoft Open Source Strategy within Microsoft Western Europe as part of the Azure Business Group. He ensures Open Source solutions are pushed through the local Microsoft country teams by providing Go To Market plans. This includes Open Source Migration Programs, Application Modernization and Innovation plays including Cloud Native plus Open Source Database Migration/ Utilization.
Prior to working for Microsoft René worked for open-source companies like Docker (2 years) and Red Hat (6 years) where he held several positions. René has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Groningen.
Florian Moss - Open Source Solution, Red Hat
Florian Moss is an Open Source Solution Architect for Red Hat in Ireland. Florian specializes in transforming IT applications from slow-moving oil tankers into fleets of eco-friendly, lightweight container ships. He has worked with development teams in Ireland, as well as infrastructure and operations teams, solving problems that will directly impact the future of Irish citizens.
Ronan Laffan - Head of Advisory Services, Version 1
As head of our Advisory Services practice, Ronan is one of Version 1’s most experienced Architects. He has worked with many public sector clients, designing digital platforms, as well as leading development and maintenance teams and providing consultancy services.
Originally a Mechanical Engineer, Ronan’s recent work has centred on cloud architectures and digital strategies. Ronan brings a focus on engineering solutions to business problems using digital technology to solve current real-world problems, enable new ways of working and deliver innovative services.
Stephen Griffin - Principal Consultant, Version 1
Stephen is an Architect and Delivery Lead for Version 1. Currently working with one of Version 1’s biggest Public Sector clients, Stephen was on the ground floor on implementing App Modernisation through Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and other products in the RedHat portfolio. More recently Stephen has been leading trails of OpenShift as a managed platform in the Cloud.
