Move from idea to prototype with speed and safety
Global pharmaceutical, Almac wanted a way to turn early AI ideas into something real while still meeting strict compliance needs. Working with Version 1 gave their teams a secure environment to learn, experiment and build at pace.
Remove the roadblocks that keep good AI ideas from moving forward
Most teams have ideas for using AI, but those ideas often get stuck between early curiosity and something that can actually be tested. There is usually no safe space to try things out, check what is possible or understand the risks. Work slows down, and promising ideas never move forward.
A tried and tested structure teams can follow
The workshop uses a simple flow:
Brief → Design → Build → Review → Secure → Demo
This helps team members test ideas quickly while keeping an eye on quality and safety. When issues appear, teams pause, check the code and fix any risks with support from agentic tools.
What teams get out of the two days
By the end of the workshop, people leave with:
- A working prototype based on a real challenge from their own business
- A better sense of what AI can and cannot do in their environment
- A fast way to test ideas without weeks of planning
- A clear view of how to explore AI safely and stay compliant
- A method they can repeat for future projects
This is not about building a finished product. It is about giving teams the space, support and structure to move from early questions to something they can test, show and improve.
Built for mixed teams across the business
Almac invited people from different teams and skill levels. Analysts, operational staff and non-technical colleagues all took part. This made the prototypes more grounded in real needs and helped everyone feel included in the results.
“Over two energising days, five cross functional teams built working prototypes and, more importantly, developed a new view on how they can deliver IT solutions faster and responsibly. Senior leaders were impressed by what the teams achieved in such a short time.”
