Introducing the Version 1 Shadow Board 2024
What is a Shadow Board?
The Shadow Board is a forum in Version 1 made up of a diverse group of younger members of the Version 1 team, all under the age of 30, a generation who make up a large portion not only of our own company, but of our customers’ companies and our customers’ customers. The group is sponsored by the CEO and its primary directive is to provide insights, feedback, and ideas to senior decision-makers in the business, representing their generation’s perspective, as well to hear about the company strategy and decisions so they can share with their peers.
How does it work?
Each member of the Shadow Board is assigned a mentor from the senior executive team who supports, leads, and ensures a seamless alignment between the project objectives and the overarching business goals. This encourages creative collaboration with strategic direction. Previous Shadow Boards have worked on a diverse range of projects from ESG, talent development, employee engagement and business support to name a few.
Meet the Version 1 Shadow Board 2024
Our Shadow Board for 2024 is made up of 16 members working in different practices across the business and from a variety of locations including Belfast, Bengaluru, Dublin, Pune, Birmingham, London, Malaga, and Newcastle.
Hi, I’m Aoife, and I work on the Organisational Development team as a People Success Coach and Organisational Development Consultant. In 2019, I started my career in Version 1 as an intern and joined permanently after completing a Master’s in Organisational Psychology. Since then, I have witnessed huge growth and change in the organisation, which makes me even more excited to be a member of the Shadow Board in 2024.
I am looking forward to building connections and gaining exposure that I otherwise might not have. I believe this will be an amazing opportunity to learn from our Senior Management, gain insight into how they make decisions, provide my perspectives, and work on impactful projects across the business.
I am passionate about all thing’s psychology, particularly healthy high performance, team effectiveness, personal development, and flourishing within the workplace – all of which I am positioned to impact within my role. Outside of work, you will find me reading, running, and travelling when I can.
Hi, I’m Vaishnavi R, based in our Bengaluru office. I joined Version 1 in April 2023 as a Junior Data Scientist in the Version 1 AI Labs, which is part of the Office of the CTO.
I am passionate about data science and AI. My work involves researching the latest advancements in Generative AI. Solving problems using new AI tools and technologies can be challenging. At the AI Labs, we develop proof of concepts for clients using these cutting-edge technologies.
I am excited to be a member of the Shadow Board for 2024, as it’s an excellent opportunity for ambitious minds to explore their potential and become the best version of themselves. I’m looking forward to accelerating my learning, building connections, and making a positive impact within Version 1.
Outside of work, I am a singer, classical dancer, and I enjoy going on long hikes, exploring nature and travelling.
Hi! I’m Angela Sanchez, a Senior Software Engineer. I joined Version 1 in July 2021 as a software engineer based in Malaga. I have had the pleasure of working on several projects that have allowed me to grow my knowledge and work across various technologies. In addition to this, I am the lead for Woman In Tech and part of the Buzz committee in Malaga.
I’m delighted to be part of the Shadow Board for 2024 and hope to make a positive impact on the company. I am most looking forward to learning more about Version 1, its leaders, all the people that make the company grow, and collaborate with the other members of the 2024 Shadow Board.
After work, I enjoy hanging out with friends, travelling, running and dancing.
My name is Vageesh, I am based in the Bengaluru office, and I joined Version 1 in June 2022 as an Oracle Functional Consultant for Managed Services. In my role, I support a private sector client, and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with the team.
I’m delighted to be part of the 2024 Shadow Board and eager to deepen my understanding of the organisation’s operations and strategies. I look forward to refining my leadership and negotiation skills through interactions with fellow Shadow Board members and Senior Executives. These insights are invaluable as I continue to progress in my career.
Outside of work I enjoy reading books, travelling, and spending time with friends.
Hello, I’m Callie and I work within the Digital, Data and Cloud practice as a Delivery Consultant. Having joined Version 1 in May 2022, transitioning from a different career field, I currently specialise in public sector projects. I am also lucky to be able to dedicate my time toward various Version 1 initiatives I’m passionate about, such as Community First, Mental Health First Aiders, and a Project Management community co-ordinator.
Beyond work, I enjoy travelling; exploring new countries and experiences, football, Formula 1 and fitness.
There are many aspects of the Shadow Board I’m excited for, however, I’m especially looking forward to building relationships and learning from both colleagues and the Executive Board.
Hello, I’m Soumya. I joined Version 1 in July 2022, and work as a Content Marketing Associate. My role involves supporting the Marketing team on all things content including writing and publishing case studies, win announcements and blogs, ensuring content on the website is up to date and accurate, and supporting other practices to create content.
I’m happy to be a part of the Shadow Board for 2024, and I look forward to working with and learning from my peers and the Senior Management team and contributing to Version 1’s growth.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking, watching as many films as I can, and making my own films.
Hi I’m Cecelia an Integration Consultant and a member of the Integration team based out of the Dublin office. Within my role I am very lucky to work with a variety of people across different locations, departments, and seniority from both Version 1 and those from acquisitions through the integration process.
With the 2024 Shadow Board I am most looking forward to continuing to grow my career through networking, gaining an insight into the decision-making process of the Senior Management team, and collaborating with the other members of the 2024 Shadow Board.
Outside of work I love adrenaline, having sky jumped, white water rafted, and been ziplining. New challenges and adventures excite me, and I cannot wait to see what this year brings.
Hi everyone, I am Sherlyn, a Senior Full Stack Software Developer working in the Digital, Data, and Cloud practice. I am currently working on a project for one of our customers, HM Courts and Tribunals Services.
I am Malaysian-Chinese and have lived in the UK for eight years, two of which were spent studying at the University of Hull, and the remaining six working. I’ve been with Version 1 for two years now and Evoco (acquired by Version 1) for four years.
I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of the Shadow Board for 2024. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to Version 1’s continued growth and success, while also learning along the way.
My interest includes pottery and food.
I am Connor O’Neill, I joined Version 1 in March 2023 as a Senior Business Analyst. I am currently working on a digital transformation project for the Northern Ireland Department of Communities. Throughout my career, I have been a part of several large-scale digital transformation clients for both private and public entities. I am a strong believer in the impact technological change can have on businesses and am passionate about delivering the best outcomes for our clients.
I am excited to be a member of the 2024 Shadow Board. I believe it is an extremely exciting time to be employed by Version 1 as we witness the company expand globally alongside a new wave of technology such as AI. I hope to gain an understanding of the landscape the company is operating in while being able to provide my opinion to the key decision-holders.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling, watching football and practicing martial arts.
Hi, I’m Pankti Shukla, I joined Version 1 in March 2023 as an Oracle HCM Cloud Consultant. I am currently working on implanting a Talent Management solution and fine-tuning Oracle HCM cloud applications to meet our customer’s HR process for UK public sector projects. This involved in-depth consulting, system configuration and testing, strategic advice on best practices, and end-user training.
I’m excited to be part of the 2024 Shadow Board, connecting with talented colleagues. I’m eager to contribute fresh ideas for the growth of Version 1 and gain insights from Senior Management regarding diverse aspects of business and leadership at Version 1.
Outside of work I enjoy reading fiction books, writing poetry, and gymnastics. I also love performing standup poetry.
Hello, I am Husain Poonawala and I work as an Oracle Cloud HCM Consultant. I joined Version 1 in September 2023, and it was a major transition for me as I was presented with various challenges, from learning how to work closely with various clients to grabbing opportunities to upskill myself in the Oracle Cloud world. Apart from work, I love to talk about movies, sports and, all things travel!
I am delighted to be a part of Shadow Board for 2024, and I want to utilise this opportunity and platform not only for strategic understanding of the business and influence decision making, but also to build a network with some of the best minds in the organisation.
I’m Pragati and I wear 2 hats. I’m an Accounts Payable Assistant and an Entrepreneur.
I’m based in Bangalore, and I work for the Accounts Payable Global Finance team, and it’s been a pleasure working with them for the past 2 years. I’m also an entrepreneur – I have my baking business which keeps me busy during the weekends. It’s a nice juggle between the world of finance and baking, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Hi there, my name is Hayley Murphy, I am based out of our Dublin office, but living in Galway. I joined Version 1 as intern on the Talent Development team in February 2020. In the past 4 years at Version 1, I have had many opportunities working on various initiatives within the Talent Development team. This year is an exciting one, as I will soon be starting a new role on the newly formed Performance Management Team!
I am really looking forward to being part of the 2024 Shadow Board and representing the voice of my generation in the different strategic initiatives across Version 1. As well as forming new connections with colleagues I may not have otherwise crossed paths with.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time quality with my family, friends, and puppy Luna. That being said, I also highly value my alone time to really recharge – be it binging Netflix or a nice walk out in nature.
Hi, I am Mohamed. I joined Version 1 in June 2021. I am a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer and have worked on various Version 1 customer projects.
I am excited to be part of the 2024 Shadow Board. I look forward to learning more about the company plans, growth, understanding the decision-making process and the viewpoints of Senior Leadership at Version 1. This will allow me to gain an insight into some of the initiatives that make Version 1 a ‘Great Place to Work’.
Outside of Version 1, I enjoy watching football and I am a Safety Steward at Leicester City Football Club.
I’m Keir Williams, a DevOps Engineer based in Birmingham. I’m part of the AWS Practice in Version 1’s Digital, Data, and Cloud practice. I work with Version 1’s customers, engaging on cloud transformation. I joined Version 1 in 2022 via their West Midlands Digital Academy.
I’m really pleased to be part of the 2024 Shadow Board. It’s a great opportunity to help steer the strategic direction of the organisation, whilst representing the younger members of Version 1. I look forward to building new connections around the organisation, learning more about the wider organisation, and improving my own leadership skills.
Hello, I’m Kyle and I’m an OutSystems Developer based in Belfast. I initially joined Version 1 through the Digital Skills Academy in April 2022 after several years of working and travelling overseas.
I joined the Northern Ireland Digital and Cloud Solutions (NIDCS) team as a software developer to work on a digital transformation project for a public sector client using OutSystems. I then moved to the Managed Services team where I now work in development and support of multiple public sector OutSystems projects. Outside of project work I like to participate in wider Version 1 activities such as university careers events and environmental volunteering days.
I’m very excited to be a part of the Shadow Board this year. I aim to gain a greater understanding of areas outside my day-to-day technical role, as well as building relationships across our diverse group, and learning from the experience of Senior Leadership.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling to new countries, meeting new people and exploring the outdoors.
